Palestinian Gifts in Canada: Gift Ideas by Budget

Palestinian Gifts in Canada: Gift Ideas by Budget

Posted by Mai Wazani on 4th Nov 2026

Two Palestinian keffiyeh-pattern pendant necklaces, one gold and one silver, resting on white marble

Think of the person first, and the gift second.

You know the friend whose tote bag has a frayed strap from years of marches and grocery runs. The cousin who left home and still reaches for the same kind of mug. The coworker who has started asking questions and doesn't know where to look yet.

A gift for any of them doesn't need a speech. It needs to be the right size for the relationship: small enough to accept, honest enough to mean something. Here is how we'd choose, person by person. The shipping and returns details are gathered at the end.

For the friend who has been to every march

She doesn't need another thing. She needs a better bag.

Cream canvas tote bag printed with black and orange graffiti lettering including the words Solidarity and Sumud

The Sumud Graffiti tote, $25, is cream canvas covered in graffiti-style lettering, with the word sumud, steadfastness, tucked in among it. It will end up at the next march, the library, every grocery run. If she'd rather something quieter, the Al Quds Jerusalem tote carries a black line drawing of the city.

For the cousin who carries home with them

Some people hold on to home through small, daily things. A mug is one of them. You pick it up every morning without thinking about it, and that is the whole point.

Choose the pattern that looks most like their kitchen, $15 each: the tatreez pattern mug, the keffiyeh pattern mug or the Hebron pattern mug.

If you'd rather give something to wear, the keffiyeh heritage pendant, $25, the one in the photo at the top, is a gift that stays close.

For the neighbour or coworker who is just starting to ask

Start small. A pin, $10, is easy to accept and easy to wear, and it leaves the door open without pushing anyone through it.

Watermelon-slice brooch in red with black seeds and a gold rim

Pin the watermelon brooch to a jacket or a bag strap and see who notices. Or choose Handala or We Won't Be Silenced. The keffiyeh bracelet, $5, works the same way.

For the host, the new home, the teacher

Something for the shelf or the desk, from someone who doesn't need to say much.

Square ceramic coaster printed with olive branches, green leaves and black olives, on a cork base

The Olive Branch ceramic coaster, $10, is a quiet one: olive branches and black olives on a cork base, with sumud in its name. It sits on a table and does its work without announcing itself.

For the one who wears their values

Some people don't want a gift for the shelf. They want something to put on in the morning and mean it.

Sand-coloured hoodie, back view, printed with an olive tree and the words Olive trees don't bend

The Olive Tree Don't Bend hoodie, $70, is made for that. Our hoodies are cotton-poly fleece at 380 GSM, a heavyweight fleece chosen for durability, warmth and print quality. It's built for a Canadian winter and holds its shape after washing. The Keffiyeh Man hoodie is another good place to start.

The fit is relaxed, with room through the chest and shoulders. Size down for a more fitted look, or stay true to size or go up for an oversized feel. Every product page has a size chart in inches and centimetres, and the clothing is unisex. If a hoodie is more than you'd like to spend, our t-shirts, from $39, and sweatshirts, $50, are designs from Palestinian artists too.

For birthdays, Eid, Christmas and everything in between

You don't need a different gift for every occasion. You need one that sounds like the person. A mug and a pin together come to $25. A tote bag with a mug and a pin tucked inside comes to $50. A gift certificate fits any day on the calendar.

And for you

Nobody is checking.

Before you order

  • Not sure of a size? Give a pin, a mug or a digital gift certificate instead, and let them choose.
  • Price on the invoice. No price invoice goes in the package, so the recipient won't see what you paid.
  • A message with it. Mention it in the order notes at checkout and we'll include one. You can ask for a gift receipt the same way.
  • Shipping. We ship to Canada and the United States, and Canadian orders over $99 ship free. Orders are typically dispatched within 2 to 4 business days. After that, delivery typically takes 4 to 8 business days in Canada and 7 to 12 in the United States, where orders are sent duty-paid, so there are no extra customs charges. Our Shipping & Returns page has the current details.
  • Returns. Within 30 days of delivery, for unworn, unwashed items with tags attached, in original packaging.

Buying Palestinian clothing online? Here's what we'd check

Before you buy from anyone, we'd ask three things. Who made the design, because it should come from someone with a real connection to what it says. Whether the details are right, because Arabic text and symbols are easy to get wrong, and a design that looks vague usually means nobody checked. And what the fabric and the return policy tell you: a heavyweight fleece holds its shape, and a clear return window means a wrong size doesn't cost you. For us, the clothing designs are by Palestinian artists, our hoodies are 380 GSM, and returns are open for 30 days.
